Who we are

The Kern Agenda (https://thekernagenda.com) is an independent guide to Kern County public meetings. Questions about this policy go to sponsors@thekernagenda.com.

What we collect

We don't require accounts and we don't ask for personal information on this site. Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to run and secure the site. Newsletter sign-ups happen on Substack and are covered by Substack's privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses cookies in advertising and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Sponsor placements on this site are sold directly, are clearly labeled, and do not use tracking cookies.

California residents

Under California law (CCPA/CPRA) you may ask what personal information is collected about you, ask that it be deleted, and opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context advertising. We don't sell personal information. To make a request, email sponsors@thekernagenda.com. You can also use Google Ads Settings above to turn off personalized ads.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
